Read the passage carefully, then answer the questions below in your own words. Passe: Nutty the Squirrel Nutty lived in an old oak tree at the edge of Green Park. Every autumn, when the leaves turned orange and brown, Nutty got very busy. She ran up and down the tree trunk, picking acorns and hiding them in little holes in the ground. Her friend Robin the bird once asked her, "Why do you work so hard, Nutty? Winter is still far away." Nutty smiled and said, "If I wait until winter comes, it will be too late to find food. I like to be ready early." By the time the first snow fell, Nutty had stored more than sixty acorns. While other squirrels shivered and searched for food, Nutty stayed warm in her tree, eating her stored acorns one by one.
